For the benefit of citizens, (the MCD) Municipal Corporation of Delhi has relaxed the condition of fire No Objection Certificate (NOC) for sanctioning building plans for residential properties in the particular category, it said.
New Delhi: The civic body said on Thursday that the citizens applying for sanctioning building plans for residential properties in the “special category” will no longer require a Fire NOC from the fire service department because MCD has relaxed norms and conditions.
Earlier Compulsory Fire NOC Rule
Earlier, to get a prior no-objection certificate (NOC) from the fire department was “compulsory” for the sanction of plans for residential buildings, the MCD said in their statement.
MCD has relaxed the condition of “fire NOC” for sanctioning building plans for residential properties in the particular category in Delhi for the benefit of citizens. MCD stated.
New Rule For Fire NOC
As per the new rules and regulations, there is no (NOC)is required from the Delhi Fire Service in cases of authorization of building plans of residential property, consisting of a ground floor in addition of three floors, with stilts for parking, having, an overall maximum height of 17.5 m,” the civic body stated.
However, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, s clarified that the new relaxation rules “will not apply to those residential buildings, wherein applicants or buyers do not propose stilt,” it added.
The civic body clarified that they have taken this decision “in the light of a recent judgment passed by the Supreme Court and a statement provide by the Delhi Fire Service.”
“MCD said that expedient relaxation to the general public will shorten the approval-processing of such residential building sanction cases,” it adds; it is committed to the welfare of the public or citizens and making possible efforts to provide worry-free services to the citizens by making conformance easy and minimum.
