Greater Noida: No work for 15 years. GNIDA (Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority) has canceled the allotment of land for Assotech Infrastructure.

Assotech Infrastructure was allotted 18,141 square meters of land in 2006. The developer also assumed possession of the land in October 2006, following the signing of a lease deed, but it was never able to proceed with the plan.

The GNIDA has removed the land allotment for an affordable housing group within Sector Pi because the developer has been unable to begin construction over 15 years after issuance.

Officials also claimed that the plan for this project was never approved.

Assotech Infrastructure was given a total of 18,141 square meters in 2006.

The builder also took possession of the land in October 2006 after the builders executed a lease deed but did not proceed with the plan.

Soumya Srivastava OSD (builder department) stated, “The builder was required to complete the construction work in six years and then get the occupancy certificate.

After this time, the builder can get some more time by depositing a prescribed amount to the authority, even the builder did not even get the map passed. They also did not apply for any extension.

Srivastava said there was no provision to grant any concessions after 15 years had passed from the date in the lease agreement.

The tenure of this project was allotted to Assotech Infrastructure crossed 15 years in March 2022. In these 15 years, the builder did not start any work. Additionally, the builder has not informed the authority about any flat bookings,” the lawyer said.

Srivastava has confirmed that the builder will receive 70% of the money from purchasing the plot.

The authority can now allot the plot in a new system, Srivastava said.
