GURUGRAM: In a contempt case, the Haryana RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) in Gurugram has awarded 60 days’ civil imprisonment to ILD builder, Salman Akbar.
In the matter, Rajender Kumar, adjudicating officer, pronounced the sentence concerning ILD Millennium Private Limited and Garima Gupta.
Civil Imprisonment for 60 days
Read the orders, has declared to detain Salam Akbar in civil imprisonment for 60 days. Then produced Salman Akbar on the 60th day of his imprisonment before the AO.
As per reports, before October 31, an arrest warrant was issued by the Adjudicating officer court to release Salman Akbar (ILD builder) on or before December 21, 2022.
RERA Asked ILD Builder
The Haryana RERA court had asked ILD Millennium Private Limited to pay an amount of Rs 27,30,376 to the complainant. Despite being order it was not paid.
The Haryana RERA had asked the company directors to file an affidavit asserting the particular of its assets to satisfy the command. Despite giving opportunities to the builder by the Haryana RERA or authorities, the ILD builder has failed to answer, leading to intentional misbehavior of the orders of the AO (adjudicating officer).
ILD Spire Greens
This matter began in January 2013, when complainant Garima Gupta booked an apartment in ILD Spire Greens, Sector 37, based on the agreement.
The developer had to hand over the unit’s ownership in July 2016, but they still needed to give ownership to her.
After the delay in possession of the unit, in November 2018, the allottee registered a complaint with the Haryana RERA court, alleging the builder delayed the possession of the unit.

The Haryana RERA had passed an order in the esteem of the distressed allottee. It has asked the ILD builder to pay interest for every month of delay on the amount paid by the complainant from the date of ownership till the assistance of actual possession of the apartment to the allottees, which the builder failed to comply with.
